Readers. You may have recognized the lag of this little blog's posts, pictures and overall lack of updates. I regret to inform you of the failing health of my dear Macbook. Though a good well-rounded 5 years old, reaching its middle ages reflects in health concerns popping up hear and there. Last Sunday was a prime example of this phenomenon, with Macbook showing signs of illness: taking longer time to start, itunes randomly closing, not responding to mouse clicks and a high fever of overheating. Poor lil guy.

Come Monday, to my dismay it came down with something terrible, an incurable illness even the likes of a well-versed Apple user as myself could not help resuscitate. Distraught and confused, an emergency rush to the Apple store was quickly called on, where Macbook is currently reported to be in stable condition.

I will keep you updated with any further developments, but can not promise any colorful or exciting posts until the health of Macbook is stabilized. Thank you for your concerns.

sunday afternoon crafts {key shadow box}

In light of our recent move of apartments, I saw this lil craft and jumped on the idea. Thought it would be a scrapbooking of sorts. All you need is a shadow box and keys from past places of residence. And if you had to turn those keys in at move out (like we had to) just use a random key. It is more about the memory than the actual key.

one month.

It has been, alas, one month since my last posting to you. But as they say, absence makes the heart grow founder? yes? Due to this little debacle, I thought I would share what has been happening in this crazy lil life of mine. In this past month I...

• didn't post to you readers. at all. I extend so very many apologies.
• realized that sandals are way more fun when you have teal painted toenails.
• transitioned professionally from my intern role to staffer. and am loving life.
• realized the transition in role demands more of my time = sacrificing time for other things.
  
• tried sushi for the first time. pass the wasabi sauce please.
• am seeing puppies everywhere. so cute and cuddly.
  
• had one of my very best friends from college move to Indy. best thing evvvaaa.
• packed up one apartment and moved to a permanent place in a matter of a couple days. wowza. this move also solidified my love of porches and all things organized. yessss.
• understand that moving is a process and takes some patience and hard work.
• am in a softball league and volleyball league. apparently I am quite sporty these days.
  
• l-o- to the v-e having friends and family visitors to Indy. what a breath of fresh air.
• continuing to try to foster a love for all things Hoosier. The love is slowly growing.
• checking off the list of summer activities. next up - lake house, 5k, outdoor concerts.
  
• realized how no matter how busy you feel or scheduled you may be, you need to carve out some time to relax and spend time doing things you love with people you love.

weekend, weekend, GOOOO WEEKEND!

In anticipation for the 3 day weekend up ahead, reflecting on the fun adventures of last weekend seemed like the natural thing to do. A very summer-esque weekend was had and I loved every moment. Last weekend highlights: 1) Friday night baseball with friends. Go Indianapolis Indians. 2)Wedding dress shopping with Alli. What a beautiful bride to be. 3) First cookout/cornhole playing of the summer. Still trying to hone in on my innner-cornhole-player. Judging by the score of the game, it looks like I will need to go through some cornhole conditioning of sorts. Two-a-days here I come.
