Orange and chocolate chips? I know. Sounds weird. But never say never. They remind me of those chocolate oranges you would get in your stocking at Christmas. Happy tasting!
And of course, Have a wonderful Sunday!
Combine:1/2 c. crisco
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese.
Add
2 eggs
2 t. fresh orange juice( I just squeeze enough out from a fresh orange)
2 t. grated orange peel (the zest of one orange is probably enough...can then cut it and squeeze it for juice you need)
1/2 t. salt.

Add 1 c. of milk chocolate chips.
Chill dough.
Drop by spoonfuls on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. (Check after 8 in case your oven is extra hot.)
After cooled, glaze cookies with 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 2 1/2 t. orange juice ( another fresh orange!) and 1 1/2 t. orange liqueur (if don't have or don't want to buy, just add a bit more juice to achieve proper spreading consistency). Brush onto cookies with pastry brush.
