Today is Thursday September 23, making it the first FULL day of autumn. hurrayyyyyy!!! The first day of autumn happens to fall(a pun haha) on a frursday as well, making it awesome times ten thousand!
Frursday=best day of the week.
Remember learning about the days of the week in elementary school? This is the day of the week your kindergarten or first grade teacher probably neglected to teach about. So forget the calendar you learned. Scrap it. it's L-A-M-E.
What is Frursday you ask?
Frursdays fall some where in the time continuum between Thursday and Friday. You see, Frursday is the day you get when your work week ends on a Thursday, therefore your weekend actually starts Thursday rather then Friday. Now, you can start your weekend on Frursday rather then Friday. It's Thursday but feels like Friday- a hybrid of Thursday and Friday, hence the name Frursday. One of my fellow interns and I both have added Frursday to our calendars and therefore celebrate it every week. It is a wonderful thing.
How do I celebrate Frursday?
When experiencing Frursday, it is only natural (and expected) to also celebrate Frursday. Celebration of the day can include a salutation of "Happy Frursday" or boisterously screaming "it's Frursdayyyyyy!!!!" After a salutation has been made, the celebration can continue with a Frursday meal of choice. Chipotle guacamole and chips are what make up my Frursday meal, with a Dunkin Donut thrown in here and there. May I also suggest popping a cork and toasting to this momentous day. Really anything you do, whether large or small, will be an exceptional way to celebrate.
Sooooooooo to make a necessary correction to the week days, here is a better version of the weekly calendar:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Frursday***, Friday, Saturday.
